Praise and Thanksgiving

As every year on August 15th, the Ursulines of Prelate celebrated the Feast of the Assumption of Mary, as well as the day when most of the Sisters made their vows in the community. Once again, the celebration took place at St. Angela Merici Residence with all the residents invited to attend Mass and the meal that followed. Five special anniversaries were celebrated; Sr. Hermana Blatz and Sr. Magdalen Stengler - 75 yrs, Sr. Margaret Ann Feist - 70 yrs, Sr. Armella Rolheiser and Sr. MaryAnn Uhrmann - 60 yrs. These Sisters were gifted with corsages and invited to sit in the front of the chapel.

The presider for the Mass was Fr. Ken Beck, with Fr. Ralph Kleiter and Fr. Greg Roth concelebrating. All the Sisters present renewed their vows during Mass.

A delicious lunch was waiting after Mass and everybody enjoyed visiting.

A smaller group of Sisters convened at the Generalate where Sr. Anne Lewan (Congregational Leader) had issued an invitation for a BBQ. This meal, too, was delicious and conversations and laughter were plentiful.
